Raina Trujillo
Raina has participated in numerous productions, including Little Women (Meg March / Clarissa), Lucky Stiff (Dominique du Monaco - Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship KCACTF Region 8 Nominee), Beauty and the Beast (Madame de la Grande Bouche), and the short film Variant Z-2 (Lead - 136K views on YouTube). She has had the privilege of studying and performing Musical Theatre in Arizona, California, and New York. In 2024, Raina was nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship for her role in Lucky Stiff, which led her to compete at the KCACTF (Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival) Region 8 Festival in Glendale, California. While there, she was also cast in the world premiere staged reading of the ten-minute play 5 Dates, part of the KCACTF National Playwriting Program, originating the role of Macy. Raina received professional training at the Open Jar Institute in New York City, where she worked one-on-one intensively with Broadway artists including Correy West, Jeff Whiting, Judine Somerville, and five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. She went on to win the Classical/Treble category in the 2025 Arizona Artists of Promise Vocal Competition, where she won $500, and also received the Albert and Lola Chatinsky Scholarship, further fueling her passion for vocal performance and musical storytelling.
