Jeremiah Blakely

Jeremiah Blakely is an American actor known for his emotionally grounded performances and international scope of work. Born in Rockford, Michigan, he developed an early appreciation for cinema's power to tell stories of perseverance, drawing inspiration from breakthrough performances in films such as Good Will Hunting and Rocky. Blakely's path to professional acting began at age 16 when he secured theatrical representation after performing at a showcase in Chicago. His first audition resulted in a callback for the Owen Wilson feature You, Me and Dupree, marking an auspicious entry into the industry. At 18, Blakely relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. He trained extensively with renowned coaches including Joanne Baron, D.W. Brown, Aaron Speiser, and Anthony Gilardi, developing a disciplined approach to the craft. During this period, he also cultivated an international perspective through extensive travel and work abroad, building a diverse portfolio that included commercial and modeling projects across multiple markets. In 2014, Blakely collaborated with director Ari Aster and actress Rachel Brosnahan on a short film project-a formative experience that deepened his commitment to character-driven storytelling. His career expanded internationally before returning to American film in 2022 with a supporting role in the independent feature Trust in Love. Blakely secured his first lead role in the Lifetime movie The Wrong Marriage, directed by David DeCoteau, followed by the lead in You Can't Be Happy, directed by Nima Shoghi, which wrapped principal photography in September 2025. Most recently, in October 2025, he landed a supporting role playing a morally complex antagonist, showcasing his range in psychologically intense character work. While drawn to comedic material, Blakely has discovered a distinctive ability to inhabit villainous roles with psychological depth and authenticity.
