Born in Rockford, Michigan, he developed an early appreciation for cinema's power to tell stories of perseverance, drawing inspiration from breakthrough performances in films such as Good Will Hunting and Rocky. Blakely's path to professional acting began at age 16 when he secured theatrical representation after performing at a showcase in Chicago. His first audition resulted in a callback for the Owen Wilson feature You, Me and Dupree, marking an auspicious entry into the industry. At 18, Blakely relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. He trained extensively with renowned coaches including Joanne Baron, D.W. Brown, Aaron Speiser, and Anthony Gilardi, developing a disciplined approach to the craft.
