Salaya
Estela Anaya, also known in the music business as Salaya, is a singer, dancer, lyricist, writer, and actress. She was born in El Salvador, Central America, and became a naturalized citizen of the United States. She is the fourth of the five children her parents had. At a very young age, she demonstrated her artistic abilities by choreographing, performing, and dancing in special school productions and events in El Salvador. Throughout the years Salaya's talent evolved and she developed a fascination with salsa dancing. This led to various salsa competitions in Los Angeles, California, and other professional opportunities. She was chosen to be a dancer for the movie "Dance with Me" starring Vanessa Williams and Chayanne (1998). Having thoroughly explored her artistic expression through dance, Salaya decided to continue exploring her artistic talents through musical collaborations with other artists. Her sweet, soothing voice has been featured in radio commercials, voice overs, and various musical collaboration with other artists. She has performed several genres ranging from pop, Latin, country, and hip-hop. Salaya was a featured artist in the song "Ponte de Pie" (2005) by popular Salvadorian hip-hop group, Pescozada, and the song "In tha Place" (2009) which was among the most solicited songs in a popular Salvadorean radio station for more than 15 weeks, reaching #1 in the charts for two consecutive weeks. Salaya was also invited to perform with Pescozada during the opening of a Winsin & Yandel concert-one of the most important music events coordinated in San Salvador, El Salvador, before an ecstatic crowd of approximately 10,000 people. Salaya has released various music videos and singles throughout the years. Her first single was titled "Sin Mi" was released in both Spanish and English versions (2010). She has been featured in music video productions such as "Amor Cavernicola" (caveman love) and "La Suerte A Mi Favor", both released in 2021. Salaya has various musical collaborations pending production. She is pursuing new opportunities as an actress in Theater in Los Angeles, California. Salaya has written her first book inspired by her childhood memoirs and her book will soon be published.
