Austin Woods is an American actor whose range and physical commitment have positioned him as one of Hollywood’s most versatile emerging performers. Moving fluidly between prestige television and studio features, Woods has built a career defined by transformation - disappearing into roles that span vulnerability, volatility, and quiet authority. Woods drew attention with Ryan Murphy's dark anthology universe leading him to ground heightened material with emotional realism playing opposite Finn Wittrock, Bella Thorne, Will Brill and will soon guest on Murphy's 9-1-1 Nashville with director, John J. Gray. Woods quickly became a sought-after guest star across network television, portraying a drug addict opposite Nathan Fillion on ABC’s The Rookie, a high-stakes thief on CBS’s S.W.A.T. opposite Shemar Moore, and a bruising adversary to Shawn Hatosy on TNT’s Animal Kingdom. This has led him into the upcoming NBC series M.I.A. from Ozark co-creator Bill Dubuque all while recurring on the new season of Netflix's Sweet Magnolias. His work often centers on complex, morally charged characters, bringing restraint and physical commitment to roles across genres in films such as Jeff Fisher's feature with Paramount Pictures, Stranger In My Home (2024 portraying Sophia Bush's son who was given up at birth and a suspect in a missing child case with Chris Carmack. Woods also delivered a deeply immersive performance as Joe Kennedy in the true-story drama Average Joe (2024), directed by Harold Cronk where he embodied a U.S. Marine navigating personal loss, love, and faith which will set the tone for the national spotlight that surrounded the landmark Kennedy v. Bremerton School District Supreme Court case. Woods has since recurred opposite James Franco in Sean McEwen's feature film Turnbuckle (2025), comically diving into an off-grid/unhinged cannibal drooling for Emile Hirsch and Evan Ross. Franco and Woods have built a steady presence together in films under producer Alexander Kane in Welcome Home (2025) as well as Chris Bauer's independent feature 3-Holes and a Donut (2025) and recently Timothy Woodward Jr.'s feature film, Foster (2025). At the same time, Woods was tapped to lead the independent feature Before Daylight (2025) portraying Reverend John Porter, a minister who revitalizes a declining town's church while temptations take form to crack the status quo. Woods maintains a strong presence in fashion and commercial work. He has modeled for global campaigns with Dolce & Gabbana and Coca-Cola, and has made his appearance in national campaigns opposite Kevin Hart for Fabletics as well as Chad Michael Murray and Walton Goggins for Walmart while bringing the same authenticity and charisma that define his screen performances.
