War God Departs
About
For ten years, the invincible war god Aelwyn stood alone at the Black Gate, holding back the demon horde with his sacred sword. On the day he returned to claim his betrothed, Queen Lotheve, he was publicly denounced as a liar and traitor by her scheming prime minister Greyman—secretly a demon spy. Stripped of his rank and exiled, Aelwyn shattered the seal he had guarded for a decade, unleashing the very demons he had fought to contain. As the demon army laid waste to the kingdom, Lotheve's arrogance turned to desperate panic. She begged Aelwyn to return, even offering to share the throne, but he had already found a new ally in the elven queen Gretchen, who had loved him for years. Aelwyn saved the elves and dwarves, but refused to lift a finger for the ungrateful humans who had turned their backs on him. In the end, Lotheve died by her own sword as her kingdom burned, while Aelwyn emerged as the undisputed protector of the remaining realms, with Gretchen at his side.
