Killian Black leaned back against the headboard in the bedroom, his shirt already half undone. Chloe Mitchell straddled his lap, her blonde hair falling against the side of his face, her lips brushing against his neck, kissing him again and again. Her fingers traced from his chest down to his waistband, working open his belt with practiced ease. "You're in a hurry tonight." Killian's voice was low, rough, edged with a smirk. Chloe lifted her head, her blue eyes catching the dim light like two glass marbles. "Because I can't wait," she murmured. "I can't wait to sign that contract tomorrow. And I can't wait for you to give me the world." Killian reached up and cupped her face, his thumb stroking slowly across her cheekbone. "I've already given you everything." "It's not enough." She kissed him. It was a long, heated kiss — the kind that makes you forget everything else. Killian closed his eyes, his fingers sliding into her hair. In that moment, he thought he had the whole world in his hands. He was wrong.
